Meet Our Newest Fundraising Product, PledgeCam!

March 17, 2021

Meet the first and only virtual camera app built for fundraising - PledgeCam! From birthday parties to charity galas, there is now an even easier way for you to raise money for your favorite nonprofit through any virtual live stream event - all in one click.

Since becoming Zoom’s official charitable giving partner last year, our vision has been to bring you a similar experience across any virtual live stream platform in a way that engages your audiences and helps seamlessly bring your fundraisers to life, from Twitch to Facebook. So, we built PledgeCam to do just that! Not only can it be downloaded and installed in minutes, the app provides an interactive and more highly engaged fundraising experience with your donors, increasing average donations 3-5x the average amount.

Using PledgeCam is as easy as 1, 2, 3! All you have to do is set up a Pledge fundraiser page and follow the simple instructions. Once you use the product to type in the matching keyword to select PledgeCam as your “preferred camera” on any of your video live stream services, you can start fundraising through any virtual event.

It takes less than five minutes to set up, and the impact it can have on nonprofits you care about goes well beyond that. It’s even been used by major nonprofits for their cornerstone events, from CoachArt to Equality Now. You can read more about our new app - and recent round of seed funding, now on Forbes.

“CoachArt’s first livestream gala using Pledge included ESPN President Jimmy Pitaro to honor our volunteer coaches and raised over $100k in only 30 minutes to support our free arts and athletics coaching for kids impacted by chronic illness — double what we’ve raised in our previous gala!”

CoachArt engaged Pledge to power donations during its first virtual gala, Salute to Coaches, which raised 2x more in 30 minutes than their previous virtual fundraiser and was their biggest virtual fundraising event to date.

Last December, Equality Now hosted its annual gala online to help raise money to support its overall mission of protecting and promoting women's and girls’ human rights. Featuring celebrities such as Jane Fonda, Meryl Streep, Karamo Brown, Jameela Jamil, Aubrey Plaza, and Margaret Atwood, this star-studded event was able to raise over $110,550 for the organization.

By utilizing PledgeCam, the organization was provided the unique ability to collect donations from around the world, which would not have been possible through their past in-person events. Most importantly, it was able to raise money in ways it wouldn’t have been traditionally able to - particularly in a pandemic - and resulted in a life-changing impact for women & girls around the world.

Hosted by comedian and SNL celebrity, Kenan Thompson, Teens for Food hosted their first-ever Justice Virtual Gala. The nonprofit’s goal was to raise money to help eradicate food insecurity through youth-led community-based solutions and to end the cycle of diet-related disease and poor health outcomes that disproportionately impact low-income communities, particularly those of color. By utilizing PledgeCam, they were able to raise over $550,600 - a record for the organization.
